Students of the month in grades K-4 celebrated their success with a pizza party sponsored by long time community partner Called to Serve. With slices and juice, they talked with Principal Dingle about why they were nominated by their teacher and how they are learning each day to be Bethune's Best!
With the changing of season it is time that we prepare for inclement weather admissions and dismissal procedures. Please note the following policies related to admissions and dismissal during inclement weather. All procedures are implemented in order to ensure the safety of students.
Students in grades K-2 will be admitted through the main yard to the building and will walk to the cafeteria. Students in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade will wait at their tables for their teachers to pick them up. Students in 2nd grade will be seated in the auditorium
Students in grades 3-8 will be admitted into the gymnasium for line. They are to enter the gymnaisium through the main yard and sit on their line up locations. If they are eating breakfast they are to return to the gym through the hallway entrance after they are finished with breakfast.
Students in grades K-2 will be brought into the gymnaisium by 2:55. Parents will be permitted into the building through the yard beginning at 2:55. Students will be seated with their teachers in the gym. No parents will be given access to the building through the front door.
Students in grades 3-5 will be dismissed at 3:05 out into the main yard. If they have to pick up younger siblings they may come into the gym to sign out siblings.

As the leaves turn and begin to fall Bethune students are being engaged on a daily basis with enriching educational experiences. While we teach our students, we partner with our parents to ensure that the lessons learned at school are worked on at home and the learning experiences exceed the classroom doors!
