Principal Jamina Dingle
Greetings Bethune Family!
I'm excited and humbled to serve as the Principal of Bethune Elementary School. I am a life long educator who comes to Bethune with over 15 years of experience. I've worked in the New York City schools, in Westbury School District on Long Island and I have served the School District of Philadelphia in a variety of leadership roles. I'm excited to bring my skills and educational background to the Bethune family and I look forward to working with the students at Bethune. I believe in having a humanistic child centered approach to education where we set high expectations and watch our chlidren soar to reach them!
Assistant Principal Yasmin Evangelista
My name is Ms. Yasmin Evangelista and this is my first year as an Assistant Principal. Previously, I was a Literacy Leader; Bilingual Teacher as well as a Kindergarten-First Grade Teacher in Camden, New Jersey. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Marist College in Psychology/Special Education, a Bilingual Endorsement form Grand Canyon University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading, as well as an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership Management Policy from Seton Hall University. I am very excited to be a part of the Leadership Team at Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School and hope to positively influence a love for learning for all Bethune Students
Upper Grade Instructional Climate Leader- Jimmie Fulton
My name is Jimmie Fulton and as the proud upper grade instructional climate leader at Bethune Elementary School, I support the staff and students in grades 5-8. I am a Pennsylvania certified teacher with over 14 years of experience with the School District of Philadelphia. Prior to working as the Instructional Climate leader, I received valuable experience teaching grades kindergarten through sixth. Throughout my career, I've served on various professional and community-based educational committees. My educational philosophy centers around the belief that educators should be committed in fostering classroom environments where children feel safe and free to express themselves positively. I have a deep appreciation and understanding of how receiving quality education could be one of the most influential assets to a child’s future success.
Lower Grade Instructional Climate Leader- Marianne Marino
I would like to take this time to introduce myself to you. My name is Marianne Marino and I am the instructional climate leader for Kindergarten - 4th grade. I have worked in Philadelphia School for 15 years and have called Bethune home for the last eight years. While at Bethune, I have come to know many of the students and their families.
I believe that all children can grow and succeed in a safe and nurturing environment. Working together, we can encourage our students to reach and obtain success. I look forward to many exciting and challenging activities this school year.
